-Marvel at the primitive machine boy made from timber –

An early experiment in utilising the new planet’s indigenous arboreal matter resulted in this little fellow. No others were made as the requirements of chiseling each gear by had made the manufacturing process much too time consuming.
In his day he sported a fine lacquered finish with a waxy polished lustre.
But many years out in the element reduced him to his present state.
His head is now home to a small mouse like creature.
