Originally designed to be employed on earth as he would be unaffected by the lead which turned human hat makers mad.
He found himself lonely in his original position, as his body casings incorporating the toxic metal, as well as smokey chimneys and hot boiler plates would be enough to make his fleshy co-workers not want to be in the same room as him.
He absconded to Retropolis in search of a more satisfactory lifestyle.
